Default Iceland Overseas

Shopped in the Iceland Overseas sore in Benissa yesterday and to say I was pleasantly surprised is an understatement.
Having just moved back to Spain after spending 12 months back in the UK I obviously hadn't done any shopping over here for a while but the prices here have come down by a fair sum over the past 12 months.
They also seem to be doing flyers now with money off coupons (I used €5 off €30 yesterday from a flyer posted to us).
I know some people do not like the Iceland attachment but they seem to be moving away a little from this as I spotted quite a large range of Waitrose products on offer.
Some of their deals which were on the flyer included;

8lt water €0.75
Roberts Bread €1.50
Heinz Soups €1

I've attached the flyer (obviously with my coupon taken out!)

hope this helps people as I know shopping especially for British goods is mentioned quite often on here and on other forums.

As Concierge for the Spanish section of BE I would like to say hello and welcome.

BE is a very large expat website, so if you have problems finding your way around we have concierges who will try to direct you. The moderators for the Spanish forums are Mitzyboy and Fred James, moderators are there to ensure that the site runs smoothly within the rules of BE. Problems and complaints should always be addressed to a moderador who will look into the matter and deal with it efficiently and fairly. Our members who post in the Spain Forums are friendly and helpful with a wealth of knowledge of the issues of living in Spain. At the top of the page you will find a quirkily named thread called Free Beer which is full of important and useful information. Hope you enjoy your time participating in the forums.

Please let me know if you need any further help.

Rosemary

hi, moved to Benissa in 2010, went back to the Uk in December 2012 and stayed there for 12 months working at Shell in Ellesmere Port.
Moved back over at the beginning of this month!

The Overseas stores in Spain that sell Iceland products have ALWAYS sold Waitrose stuff as well, we used to go to the one in Torrevieja, and loved some of the Waitrose products. They have always been pretty good value for UK stuff, much cheaper than most of the small Brit stores, and the Spanish supermarkets.

Yes but I've also noticed that they have started to sell more products from other suppliers - including Waitrose.

I think they are starting to diversify a little. After all, the company "Overseas Food Ltd." isn't only Iceland.

Great, Mercadona, MasyMas and Carefour all have ex-pat sections but none have Marmite and that's the only thing we want

We have not seen any flyer near Altea, usually shop in Benidorm branch.
With a 'loyalty card' it would be good if we were to get any money off but we are left out !
