Twelve days in the UK.
It rained, every single day ... it was cloudy and grey most days .... August in England
The costs of things has shot up incredibly. People moan about Spain being more expensive now ... trust me, it has nothing on the UK. I have spent so much money its untrue. I draw out £100 and its just gone on nothing in a few days.

Yep. The lunatics that say we have a great climate here in the UK must be on some serious medication.
So far this summer I have had ONE DAY ONLY when the sun has shone all day with no interruptions, and with the one remaining week of summer left, it is looking as tho this year the summer is going to be even worse than last year (three days).
Plus as you say, the prices are starting to extract the urine in copious quantities.
