you can pick up an x-trail in the uk for £5.500 to £6.000 so its only just above what you want to spend, you would probally find a left hand drive 1 even cheaper , but then of course you will have the problem of registering it,
are prices in spain much higher for used cars?

There are some really lovely Troopers, but are top end of the budget so it would mean less for the OH.

Some used cars yes but others no, the Disco's I have looked at are pretty well priced, and good mileage, but I have an issue with Landrovers that I will try not to go into on here because I know there are a couple of Landy lovers around.

i work for, amongst others , a landrover dealership. a couple of my collegues are absolute fanatics, but they dont really do much for me.. untill you start getting to the later models, now they really are nice.

There fore the first real development over the last say 20 years was the quite brilliant TD5 engine, that people quite wrongly call the BMW engine.

I have worked with a guy who was a developer for LR, he had a really good take on the "enduring" image of the Defender, basically LR and whatever parent company they had over the years kept telling the developers that the Defender only had a couple more years to run so no money was ever invested in the marque, and a couple of years would pass, the figures were assessed and they would decide to keep the defender for another few years.
