Back on topic please, this is not about what housing is available in the UK but about whether 2000 euros is enough to live on.

True and I would say that the €2000 a month is more than most Europeans will ever have during retirement and many also have to pay rent. The question to the OP would be what other options are there? If you have €2000, you just try and make the best out of it.

Hi, we manage quite well on less income than that. If you are buying outright and don't have to pay rent (as we do from our income) you will have plenty to live on if you're not expecting a lavish lifestyle.
