Back on topic please, this is not about what housing is available in the UK but about whether 2000 euros is enough to live on.

True and I would say that the €2000 a month is more than most Europeans will ever have during retirement and many also have to pay rent. The question to the OP would be what other options are there? If you have €2000, you just try and make the best out of it.

My wife and I are considering retiring to Spain in the next few years. Our initial concern is would we have enough money for a comfortable retirement?
We would probably have enough to buy a property outright but would 2000 Euros per month be adequate for all the other expenses including running a car, food, household bills, internet etc?
Any advice would be welcome, thanks.
