A close relative of mine has just retired and his wife will retire this summer. They are thinking of spending parts of the year in Spain or Portugal. He and his wife are both retired health workers but he spent the last few years semi-retired doing garden and maintenance work ...on a retirement home I think. So they are toying with the idea of looking for house sitting opportunities. I reckon they'd be ideal candidates as when they stayed at my own rental for a month, when I came back all my persiana cords had been fixed along with a few more nagging details......... without being asked.
I'd like them to stay on this side of the country of course. (Costa de la Luz/Algarve area)
Anyway. Does anyone know how they'd go about looking for opportunities like this?

mindmyhouse.com is always my first port of call when looking for housesitters. I never have to look any further.
