We have a 2.4m community dish. Up until March this year, my Humax Foxsat HDR box received all available HD channels and all the SD ones available in our area.

Went back in June and the 2 BBC HD channels have gone, also cannot retune to get Ch4 HD.

The box didnt want to play and ketp telling me my post code was invalid and there was no satellite signal (despite the fact I was able to watch other channels).

Eventually, the box wouldnt scan automatically, just manually, but then the programme guide is rubbish.

I plugged in my old Grundig SD box and no problems whatsoever.

Very strange.......
Perform a software download.
Make sure you input the postcode correctly...no spaces between any numbers or letters.
The box scans the freesat frequencies, and all BBC HD, BBC1HD, ITV1HD and C4 HD will erm should be there....
The BBC changed their HD channel settings...to those similaryl by C4...I have yet to see an Humax HD not get these channels...but a software update should cure the issue....

Of course it depends on how your community system is set up...sometimes it is done on the cheap so only a handful of channels are fed through the system....

Irish C4s are on 12480 v if available in your area on your size dish.
Or use C4HD if you have a HD box.
ITV2,3,4 do not have any regional variations so there are no other frequencies apart from those use for 118,119,120.

Is that a software download via the satellite? - If so, it wont do anything as it simply says there is no signal. It wont accept any post codes at all. I thought the best thing to do would be to bring the box back to the UK later this year, update it etc here, then take it back next year. (This will; also confirm it works ok - hopefully).

Thanks for your help on these matters.

Normally yes but you can download it from the Internet and copy it to a USB stick and do it manually.
