I'll apolgise in advance if thid post offends anyone, but stop whinging and get on with things,.
I was living and working in Hong Kong for 13 years, both my parents had passed away. We left the UK for Hong Kong, My wife had got a good post but without a uni degree or chinese langauge it was hard to find any work. After 7 months the comany me offerd me a post(to help convince my wife not to give my wife reason to return to the UK.

After a year of watching how things worked, I taught myselfhow to use a comuter language and remaped the way information was exchanged (the changes saved the comapny HK$ 20,000 per month in Hong Kong alone)

Afew years later I had a dispute with the new director and we both thought it better I left the company.

When my oldest broyher developed stage 4 cancer.I went back to spend some time with him while he was still able, but it wasn't long before I got the call to come before he goes. I manged to get there a fewdays before he died.

11 Days later, I got the call the told me my remaning brother, had died in his sleep, so had to return again to the UK.
George was 59, Alan was 56. Me ? I decided at that point I had seen too many people that never got to the point whern they retireed

Thought I'd sashay in and see what everyone's been up to recently (I don't get in as often as I used to).

Stumbled across this thread - and had a good mooch.

But I have to say that the Quote of The Week for me was "Just fasten your cardigan up woman and get on with life"

Brilliant! I'm going to use that a lot!!

PS: Sorry to interrupt. As you were.

No interruption, the OP was a troll and was posting from the US
Does that explain?

Read - spotted that as I was reading the thread. Some people eh? Have to say though - kept me entertained for a good while

I blame penile dysfunction and menopause meself. For the trolling that is... not my being entertained

Hope you're well love!
