Default Healthcare update for Valencia Comm.

This from British Embassy Madrid -

We have been contacted by the Valencia Regional Health Authority to advise us that there has been an increase in people in the Comunidad Valenciana region using the following link to incorrectly register for a SIP (health card for the Valencia region) card, in order to get the Covid vaccine.
https://coronavirusregistro.san.gva.es/sip.../registrosinsip
This Valencian authorities have asked us to communicate that the link is just to advise them if you have symptoms of Covid and therefore require a test. It should not be used to register for a Covid vaccine.
The Spanish Ministry of Health announced that they would be offering the vaccine to everyone in Spain on public health grounds. It is for the Spanish authorities to determine how and in what order the vaccine rollout is implemented. We are following closely what that will mean for British nationals resident in Spain and we will keep you updated if we have further information. Meanwhile, you can find more information at:

I imagine that any government will want to vaccinate everyone on their soil so to speak but obviously the initial program will be those on the national healthcare register.
Having said that with Madrid suspending its program today the prediction is it wont be until October before Spain has everyone done

Our local (Polop) has said that even those on Private healthcare can give their details to the local Health centre and they will be notified when the vaccine is available to us.

Im in the position of being one of the last (58) and in good health and the wife (57) although she has Asthma, its not been too bad since we have been here.

So I think we will wait until those who need it (the workforce) have had theirs and then we will go see.
