Hi All...

Health Insurance for Ontinyent , Valencia , Residency.

We are in the process of buying a property in Ontinyent, and will need to get health insurance at a level that will enable us to get residency before 31.12.20.
My hope is to apply for the Convenio Especial after our 1st year of residence.
Does anyone have suggestions to Companies that do not charge silly premiums.

I would suggest you join one of the Ontinyent groups and ask there.

The big thing with health insurance is to make sure that doctors and hospitals etc. are close by.

I know people with private health insurance who have to travel hours just to see a doctor.

I am covered by the Spanish State Health Insurance through my spouse.

However, before we got married I was looking at SANITAS.

I think they have a good reputation, their premiuns seemed to be reasonable, and they are well represented throughout Spain. They are part of the BUPA group.

Others may have other suggestions though.

Thank you, I had been also looking at Sanitas.
I had been given the tip by another expat, to be clear that any Insurance needs to be represented locally so to avoid having to travel long distance for Dr or Hospital that was covered in the policy.

Another thing about private insurance for residency is there should be no exclusion for pre-existing conditions and no co-payment (excess).

Thank you, yes I noticed that all the policies with Sanitas, that are suitable to submitting for residency cover these.
