I found the area to hilly for me and her indoors, try Mogan it is a much more wondreful spanish village just a short boat ride away.

thank you for that yes I agree with you mogan is lovely but we need to make a living and will probably buy or rent a bar

You are probably aware that anything outside of the shopping arcade / Restaurant area is redundant. The Irish Bar next to the Chinese restaurant and the pub across the walkway is certainly your biggest competition, but the best of luck!

yes, but we are going to give it a go as we think our quality of life there far outweighs making lots of money, any more info will be gratefully accepted

I looked at Gran Canaria and the opportunities available and did find the area quite restricted for my intentions but if your going to open a bar then u won't have much time to take it easy so to speak as Porto Rico is a very busy little place!!
