I realise it needs an antenna and permissions will be needed for that for non-villa owners. Which is a drag.....

..... But its pricing is good, the speed should be enough to get TV, even HD, its unlimited and great for us personally, as you are not tied to a contract yearly, meaning for non full time residents, one can 'switch it off' and then re-engage when you are there.. a kind of Pay as you go (sort of) model.

If this works half as good as the ads, and we can get reception in CE, it may be the best option for many people, us included.. to get TV, and do other stuff. For us (personally) non-heavy users, if we can stream TV without problems then its all we need to do other stuff we need to do online - kind of like a benchmark for us.

The TMN 3G dongle is so far the best non-permanent use internet Ive seen in Europe, and works for us - but BB4S sounds like it may be even better... IF we can get the signal (+permissions etc) - and it actually works in this corner of Spain

Thanks

Jon

As far as I could find it is not available this side of Sevilla. It seems a much better offer with the interruption facility than Iberbanda which seems to be the only available WiMAX on Esuri with the mast in the center of the fish farm.

has anyone seriously sat down and worked out how much television they actually watch per day, and how much it is costing them per hour ???

I still use the Spanish TDT with English language progs throughout the day, neither I nor BH feel a need to see who is(n't) drinking in the Rovers Return or the Queen Vic each evening. And the thought of watching "reality" progs like BB and dancing and skating is a good reason to switch on the Spanish Language tutorial tapes.

Sorry, I am in a foreign country not back in the UK, and all the money spent on lnb's, dishes, vpn's and all the other alphagetti of the IT and Comms world would be better spent elsewhere.

As your in a foreign country would it not be better if you stepped away from your PC talking to other Expats 10710 times in the last 2 1/2 years and looked up the phrase "Pot kettle and Black"

Do we really need mudslinging on the forum. Whatever your personal views on watching TV or listening to the radio in your mother tongue, they don´t need airing here. It is so patronising. Some of us just want valid information on how we may achieve watching/listening to English broadcasts of better quality than most local Spanish programming. TVE2 do some great documentaries, but talk shows dominate and they are not my thing.
