I do admit I buy things here 'if only for convenience', but I do find this store to be the most expensive around for goods. Also maybe it's me but I can never find my way out of them..... is this a ploy to keep you in and spend more money.....

Sometimes they have some great offers.

As for the "finding your way out", I think they use the same tactics as IKEA. You can't seem to get out of the place unless you go through the whole store

At least they have arrows, ECI just have little groups of attendants standing around chatting... do you get the feeling I don't like the place much?

To be absolutely honest, I don't like it either, but my son and girlfriend (when they are visiting) love it!

Then again, I don't like most department or hyper stores/markets.

I remember my grandmother taking me to a department store in Belfast 'Goorwiges I think (Not sure on spelling)' as a small kid. I can still remember the inside of the place clear as day, old wooden tables for cutting cloth on (Both Grandparents where Singer slaves) and the dark tubes running all over the place with packages being sucked around between accounts and the cash desks, I used to love going in there. Then I remember my father taking me to Harrods 'again as a kid', I found these little tubes of orange and green goo you bought with a small plastic tube for blowing the goo into large balloon type bubbles that hardened, again I used to love going there on any trips my parents took me on to London..... maybe these experiances stuck on me somewhere and so I do generally like department stores, but for some various reasons not ECI.
