I wish I could have stayed, actually
I don't think anyone would have minded, especially since I knew almost everyone there
I found I wanted to join in the discussion, but as I was there to translate & it would have been my opinion it didn't seem like I should
there was quite a lengthy discussion about noisy kids in general (not mine in particular), and a written complaint (bet you can't guess who from
) about them playing in the 'quiet area' and the garden - but then of course the parents of the kids wanted to know where their kids were supposed to play when there isn't a special area for them
the nearest they came to a decision on this was that as long as they were quiet during siesta and after midnight, then tough!
bicycles were mentioned - but then they were 'banned' last year, along with skateboards
