Default Good god!

I have just performed a simple search and found 263 threads relating to cars in Spain.

Just saying.

But it still doesn't sink in

I had a CD cabinet made for me by a local brit. He delivered it today in a brit reg van which has been here a long time and is apparantly his second. The original, her sold to a mate and it is still running here on UK plates. I sort of broached the subject about the legality and he said neither had MOTs but was insured so it was OK, but he spends a lot of time taking back roads to avoid the Police checks ....... he also said that his way around it was to not register as a resident because then he could just say he's only been here a short while if stopped .......... he said some people had made the mistake of registering as residents and once they'd done that then they were in trouble ........ at that point I gave up

As a law abiding citizen it must have made you feel sick that by buying off him you are innocently condoning his behaviour. Unfortunately I think there are many like him who are making a living using illegal methods, whether this is because of their vehicles, not registering for tax, not paying into the system etc.
