Giving birth in Spain?

My wife and I are British. What happens if she gives birth in Spain? Would the child have any British rights? I think you know what I mean

I am due to give birth in a few weeks here in Spain and have found that link very useful. Do you have any others?

Thanks for the link, I was given it some time ago and was going to post it, but site did not work, maybe I was given wrong address.

you could also try www.babycentre.co.uk and go to forums and you will find one for parents in spain.

Hi You can register the birth at the British Embassy then the child would be a Brit with all that goes with it. www.ukinspain.com

Thanks for that Sue, have copied it and passed it onto a friend who is pregnant
