sorry but you've never heard me singing the praises of Britain, just the fact I am anti EU... My reasons for being so were not brought up by anyone who fought the leave campaign and have not been debated since

Unfortunately though, that very same set of false premises you want to believe is precisely what led Britain into this mess.
But no worries, reality has a long history of sorting things out, even when it's not what you wanted to believe.

are you the type of person who panics like a headless chicken in the face of change or would you care to point me in the direction of the facts you assume I am denying......real facts and actual outcomes

Yet reality has been incrementally sinking in since the referendum. It's no longer a secret that Brexit can never deliver what was sold, because it was sold on false premises, like yours. And main event hasn't even started.
That you would continue in your denial isn't surprising. But reality will eventually sort it all out for you.
Good luck with that.

Your entire viewpoint rests on an irrefutably false premise. Even worse, that same false premise is also blatantly hypocritical. It's the very nutshell of brexit.

Apparently the Mess is a river flowing through Luxembourg. Probably the author of the post in question has insider information that states otherwise, or maybe they don't know their Luxors from their Luxembourgs. Easy mistake to make even for someone of such superior knowledge.

I can't help thinking that even though the EU is a total mess, if the UK had been in the position of influence that Germany holds,we'd have never heard the word Brexit

It's just never really been reported that way, hmmm. Couple that with an island mentality.
Had the English Channel been a ditch rather than filled with seawater, we'd identify more as being European, and probably keener to colead our 27 European neighbours.
