Trident nuclear submarines to be moved to Gibraltar amid SNP threat
GIBRALTAR has been earmarked as a possible base for Britain’s Vanguard nuclear submarines if the SNP Âsucceeds in ridding Scotland of Trident. “It would be interesting to see Spain’s reaction, Âhowever, since it is a non-nuclear member of Nato.† EXCLUSIVE: Gibraltar earmarked for Trident move if SNP succeed | World | News | Daily Express |

Re: Gibraltar 2
Move Trident to the Falklands, that might give the Argies cause to rethink their plans?

Nice one.
At least it will give Rajoy and his cronies something genuine to whinge about for a change. Looks like our resident troll has been hitting the wine gums again.;) Trident will never be used not even as a threat. The only beneficiaries are the American defence companies and those who make money supplying the Navy. and in the dockyards. Given that the UK nuclear subs have an appalling service history what is the point ??? Trident is the UK,s equivalent of all those items that clog up the garages of mots of us. A good idea when bought but will never be needed. |

Deterrent | Define Deterrent at Dictionary.com dictionary.reference.com/browse/deterrent military strength or an ability to defend a country or retaliate strongly enough to deter an enemy from attacking. The general idea appears to be to avoid it actually being needed other than to be on standby as a deterrent. |

As the US controls the codes we cannot use it even if some nutter in whitehall wanted to. |
Re: Gibraltar 2
It's seems to have worked well enough up to now as did the previous deterrents before it, so long may it continue.
