Absolutely not (not here anyway).

I've just found out that I've been summoned to court on Monday (as a witness). They have been writing to me over a period of a couple of months but, quote, letters were being returned to the court in Alzira by correos.

It turns out that because my green certificate specifies my address in the campo and NOT my postal address, that's where all official letters are sent. Luckily, someone decided to call me - if they hadn't I could have been fined between 200€ and 5000€ for non-attendance!

No doubt some mail goes straight in the bin though.

The OP should ask the current owners of the property how they have their post dealt with. Surely this is the best starting point?

They have owned the house for a few months and didn't realise that they hadn't been receiving post as they don't live there full time so the previous owners are no longer in contact. The solicitor has been helpful but it's all been a bit confusing.

That happens often with "official" government correspondence. Apparently, they don't have any extra fields in the database for a "postal" address, so they blindly send mail to your (undeliverable) physical address. And it's *your* fault if you don't receive it.

It's been a real pain for us.
