Galicia
Hi all,
I was looking for some advice. My boyfriend of nearly 3 years is from Galicia and we are considering moving there. He is not happy with the quality of life and opportunities in the UK for him and I'm happy to tag along. He is obviously fluent in Galician, I am not.. At all!
Before even considering a move my first step is to obviously learn the language (well.. At least get the basics and take it from there)
Are there any people from the UK there at all? I'm from Edinburgh. We would be looking at Carbello or A Coruna maybe even Santiago. What are the job markets like? Is there a demand for high level of English in the north since more cruises etc are stopping in a Coruna? My background and qualifications is marketing (mainly market research) and media sales within travel and tourism.
I know unemployment is high and the money may not be great, but at least the quality of life would be good. I would be able to spend time learning Galician as I could get income from the property I own in Edinburgh and I am able to work remotely.
Any advice would be much appreciated!
Best,
Ryan
