What is your experiences of sleeping on a futon? My friend says that they are very uncomfortable but they do seem to be such a good idea.

I've never slept on a futon but I did lie awake all night on one once. Awful. Good luck in finding a comfy one.

No decision made yet apart from not buying a futon. I thought that a chair style futon would be more practical when the visitors are not here but do not want them to be uncomfortable so will probably end up buying more beds.
Thanks for your interest.
