Forty five...
...yes, 45, the number of UK-plated cars that I have counted in the last two weeks running around our tiny part of Spain, with expired (some for more than three years!) or non-existant road fund licence disc.
Okay, so I'm sorry to be dragging this all up again, I know it's been a topic of much-heated debate, but really. I've even tried putting the reg of some of these cars through an on-line insurance broker and got:
We were unable to find a match for the registration given.
Please correct your registration and try again or click the link below to select from a list of makes and models.
...so they are not only un-taxed, they aren't even registered to that number plate (presumably because they have been "exported" some years ago!)
My question... Presumably if my wife or I are involved in an accident with such a vehicle then we're completed shafted. All they have to do is drive off, after all, the Policia ain't gonna have much luck tracing them through their fake UK number plates are they?
Answers on a postcard, please...

Re: Forty five...
Bad job I think, but it is not just UK there are both French and German registered cars in our little village, and they are just as you describe. No ITV stickers and no visable Taxation and on there orignal plates.
