Default Sorting out Spanish traffic offences from the UK

Shortly before I left Spain for good, I was stopped by the trafico for a minor offence, and left the paperwork with someone to sort out on my behalf.

Long story short - it wasn't sorted. What is the best way for me to proceed? Can I do something via the Embassy in London, should I contact the trafico direct.

Any advice?

What I'm worried about is that my Spanish licence number will be noted and when I change it back to my UK one - v soon - there may be some link up, and it will affect me when I return and hire a car.

Or am I being 'too joined up'.

I don`t think there will be a problem, if there is just tell them you tried to pay the fine in Spain, and pay it to them.
You will have a UK licence when you return anyway.

why would you transfer your spanish licence to the UK, if you took your original test in the UK, you should be able just to apply for a duplicate from DVLA, and nobody will therefore be any the wiser to the fact that you have been driving in Spain

I think when traffico swop them they send your UK one back to UK, so they will know you have a Spanish licence.
