We are wanting to move to spain, my partner is a computer games programmer with 15 yrs experience but also has experience with other aspects of information technology including networking, databases etc. he is trying to find a job out there, does anybody know of any websites specifically for IT jobs or any good sources for work in the costa side of spain?
Also would i need to smuggle my cat in a suitcase
Any help is much appreciated.
Jayne & Adrian.

Hi
Don't know about IT jobs but you won't have to smuggle your cat in, in a suitcase, providing he or she has a pet passport, but i'm not sure if this applies to bringing cats to Spain or just taking them back. Best check with your Vet.
Hope all goes well.

If anyone has any ideas regarding searching for IT jobs this would be great.

Here's a couple of IT recruitment sites to check out.
just click on Europe excluding Uk in the location box on this one.
http://www.cwjobs.co.uk/JS/jobsearch.asp
select other european on this one
http://www.theitjobboard.com/
And here's a general recruitment site for Spain with some IT jobs.
http://www.wemploy.com/
Good look with the job hunting.

La Linea immediately across the border and Algeciras across the bay are not regarded as very salubrious. Up the east coast you soon come to Soto Grande which is very expensive, on the west coast the Atlantic provides some of the best water-sport in Europe but don't know the housing market.
Biggest bugbear would be the daily border crossing, taking a car takes forever at rush hour, walking is OK until they decide to play silly beggars.
You would of course pay tax on your salary in Gib at their rates, but be resident in Spain so they could tax you as well on wealth tax and in other ways.
Regards,
John.
