I know what you mean, I sold loads of original, not re-released, LP`s in 1972 when we went to Canada, they would be worth loadsa dosh now.
Gary Numan was on the telly the other day, 30 years in the business and still touring. And still flying planes surprisingly! Do you remember Sham 69 and 'Hurry up Harry'?
Yes! I remember them...............I was born in Hersham!
"Hersham boys, Hersham boys,
Laced up boots and corduroys!""
Aye, they don't make lyrics like those any more!
Apparently, Jimmy Percy was my aunt's (by marriage) cousin........or something like that
Re: Gary Numan - I loved "Are Friends Electric?" and I used to know all the words!
Wow, this thread has really got me reminiscing about all the 45s that I sold at a car boot sale before moving to Spain.
I'm half wishing I'd kept them now!

Am sure O/H can explain it to me later though.
I got rid of all my singles, but I kept a couple of 12" and several LPs that I couldn't bear to part with.
We've still got a turntable, but it's REALLY old fashioned!!

Oh, that's a real shame jdr
I kept my two favourite Beatles albums - one of which is on blue vinyl.
I have no idea whether they're worth anything, but they hold such wonderful memories of driving along in Dad's Capri, singing along to the 8-track, that I just had to keep them!

At 13 I was listening to the songs towards the end of my list, not Tiger Feet and Ballroom Blitz...

The Big 'O' fantastic. We listened a compilation CD of his just the other week.
I was in your neck of the woods this morning (Walthamstow, not Holland). I went to see a prospective new client on the industrial estate opposite Blackhorse Road tube.

I've checked when those latter songs of yours were, and they were between '79 and '81 - when I was between 14 and 16.
Mind you, I was only 9 when Tiger Feet came out!

Tiger Feet! That's neat that's neat... yeah that was my other angle, glam rock. Ballroom Blitz (the original) is still one of my favourite songs... Sweet, Mud, Wizard, ahhh that was music!

I sold an EP on Ebay for about 60 quid, it was bob dylan, pete seegar and joan baez on a fontana silver label. they are apparently very rare, discovered the worth when clearing out before moving here and checking on E bay. Always a good source when seeing what things are worth.
