The first record you ever bought...

This was mine. I used to rely on my older brother to buy the top tunes of the day, but he went all hippy and got into progressive rock so I had to buy my own.

It was on the Trojan label and I still have it somewhere.

I bought "Spirit in the Sky" Norman Greenbaum because I liked it and took it round to a mates to play as I didn't have my own record player at the time. In fact I think she still has it

An LP called Blues from the Gutter by Champion Jack Dupree.
Even if you don`t like blues, listen to it for the classy Piano, sax and guitar playing in it .

First single "It's all over now" by the Stones, first album "The Five Faces of Manfred Mann" with the Paul Jones lineup. Around 1964 I think.
And can somebody tell me how Paul Jones just hasn't aged? Cos believe it or not.....he's 66 this month!

It`s not off the record but all I could find on youtube that was similar, it was a lot more modern performance than my LP back in 1963 or so. ;-))
