finding work in granada vs madrid

Not alway true, I know someone who pays over 220 euros for medication a month, and that is with the discount for " cotizando" being taken into consideration.
This is for 12 lots of tablets, and in the UK the cost would be 12 x 6 odd quid, which would work out a lot less each month.

I personally don't think that trying and not succeeding is a failure. Better try and not succeed than never try! You can try again later. I went back to the UK after a year and half in Andalucia thinking that it was easier to make a living there as I didn't have the courage to come to Madrid straight. I chickened out and I was told I failed and I was discouraged to come back here again. but sometimes you just have to stick a finger up and give it a go again!
So Madrid is definitely worth trying.
