The last thing the UK needs is people returning for benefits, so why don't you want to work in the UK? Spain is certainly not the cheapest option and even there you have the usual bills. You'll also not find any work where fincas cost 10K and even Spain can get cold in winter, especially if you're living in a very old building without central heating etc.
