Default Fencing

What kind of fencing can you get that would not blow over in a levante and looks attractive?

Bouganvilla and Mimmosa trailed over a pig netting fence on galvanised psts set in concrete is what we are going to use.

Or normal chainlink with creeper. A solid fence is very liable to take a real beating, but open mesh and plant material slows the wind and gives privacy and has a very long lifespan if installed properly.

Be careful what you grow up it. Ivy is a filthy plant and takes a lot of cutting to keep it neat, and spreads like cancer. I prefer to at least have something that gives flowers, and if you can get fruit out of it too, so much the better. I have passion fruit down one of our fences. It doesn't like frost tho so if you are northerly enough to get a few sharp ones, it could drop dead on you.

Grapes?

The added problem is that it will be next to the pool so any leaves will be straight in the pool. There is a half wall too on which it will have to go.
