What a frigging surprise!! Mclaren are not to be fined for stealing and studying Ferraris PRIVATE plans and race and car details, as well as the obvious infringement that has been spoken about at length among many of the teams.

Always was one rule for Bernies favourites!!

Oh but Ferrari are being investigated for the wheel discs and will probably be fined and have points knocked off for it.......

I just cant believe it mate, all it is saying to the world is that its OK to cheat so long as there is a Brit in the driving seat, and that's what it all boils down to, the British viewing audience is one of the sports most lucrative, and it is also the only audience on the fall, so disqualifying the man in the limelight wont help those numbers much will it??

Unreal!!

F1 lost a lot of interest over the years, and now theres a way to get interest back. Docking the golden boys points would have had a detrimental effect on Bernies large pockets

Resurrected!!!!!

Rugby Matt replied to a suggestion on another thread that he might be angry about the recent F1 Decision:

"Totally, now they have been told they are not allowed an appeal!! But that is the standard procedure!!

I wrote an absolutely acid e-mail to the FIA site, and was told that it was a private matter, they understood I may be annoyed as a Ferrari fan but that as they saw it, justice had been done.

Bollocks!! They are trying to claw back British fans for Christ sake!!"

I agree to an extent - didn't want to mess with the press it's been getting in UK after some fallow years. However, as I understand it, a Portuguese panel member has stated that it went timidly as Ferrari weren't prepared to answer counter-allegations made by McLaren - and it was seen as a sign of guilt. Not my opinion but what was reported in Marca.

I did read that, but if that was the case then surely they wouldn't be stupid enough to lodge an appeal.

Stinks of favouritism to be honest, I liked the young lad when he first started but I now hope he descends into the same pit that Button doesn't seem to get out of.

I almost started to cheer on Alonso......well I couldn't cheer on that bloody Finn could I??

Keep that Spanish Spirit up my friend!!!! I'm not sure I would like LH to descend into the Button pit but I do think he's been over-egged, certainly had more help (admittedly he's been on the team many years longer than FA so has the rapport) and, as you suggest, this is probably through a PR drive in the UK. That said LH is a talent but he needs to prove himself in an inferior car
