But you missed the poor state of education, roads, healthcare, stealth taxes, fuel prices, cost of beer, cost of fags, political sleeze, data protection, the risk of identity fraud, lack of social cohesion, crime, teenage thugs, drugs, bullying in schools, and, of course, the weather! Well said, I`ve commented on another site which had loads of people believing Spain is the promised Land, that there govt is going to welcome you with no taxes and you`ll earn buckets of money.

I also here lots about its your determination to make it work, which to a small extent is true, the reality is if you need to earn cash to live in Spain, you will suffer if you need to rely on Spanish to proved that income.

I also get the idiots saying your so Anti Spain, that makes me laugh, I keep mentioning my Spanish wife too provide the idiots an obvious slice of proof that you cannot be anti Spanish and live with one:ohmy:

Spain is a lovely country, it was perfect in 1968 when my parents were in Benidorm watching the first hotel being built, it was perfect in the 70`s when I was born, since the 80`s the country turned into a pile of crap.

The one thing I hate in Spain is the fact tourism has turned the country greedy and the beauty of the Costa`s have been turned into a pile of crap.

I much prefer the Spain from Madrid upwards, but even there slowly the scurge of immigration is creeping in.

Regular, there was a girl from the UK needed serious medical treatment after some Spanish girls beat her up after reporting months of bullying, from San Pedro in the Costa Del Sol, the parents are still taking it to the top as the police didn`t react and the school claimed because it happened outside of school property they can`t act, they have since left Spain and are still persuing the case in the Euro court.

And that one is quite tame compered to the Spanish sites.

Obviously not, I did it as a person here stated about the drugs and the youths etc etc being less in Spain.

There are thousands of happy slapping on Spanish sites and gang fights.

But one difference is if you go to a Spanish site and search for English insults you get many more than if your searched English sites looking for English insulting Spanish.

I`ve been told to leave Spain far more in 3 yrs than my OH did in the 15 years in the UK.

I`m again not anti Spanish, just anti Brit ignorance of Spain.:)

Anything you find in the Uk can be found in Spain, to suggest there isn`t the same is showing a complete lack of ability to comprehend the culture you`ve entered into.

And as you`ve previously stated if your "running away from overcrowding, immigrants, nanny state your gonna be disappointed".
