Hi we're travelling to Spain in a few days.Is it better to exchange our money within the UK (exchange rate today is 1.27 at the PO)or we will get a better exchange rate within Spain? If so,can anyone advise if its better to change at Malaga airport or other?TIA

At the moment Yahoo are showing just over 1.40 therefore in the street in Gibraltar ( not Spain ) I would expect to get 1.38+

Most I know use their card (not credit card) as some nowadays give very good rates with very little commission (Halifax have a card with no charges)
No need to carry money around so it could be safer & if you go this route always select Euros & not GBP on the screen.

Use an ATM and run the risk of the card being read ? I prefer a pocket full of cash !

Yes. That is safer ! I would be very wary of using an ATM in the street - ANYWHERE. These Lebanese Scanners are everywhere now. That is the "racist" name given to the photography devices clipped onto an ATM.
