I am not sure that I understand the subtlety of the difference between the two scenarios you mention.

Its your responsibility to obtain and receive the Documentation, which is what I was refering too.

You cannot ask Easyjet to obtain the info on your behalf.

If its such an issue jump in the car and drive to spain from Germany. There are NO border controls between the countries on land what so ever. Failing that take the train to paris then the overnight to madrid.
