Help!! Trying to assemble all the fixtures/furniture etc for our new house in Spain. We have finally found a ceiling light we both agree on - trouble is it is English. Does anyone know if you can wire English lights into Spanish ceilings? Failing that can anyone recommend a good marriage guidance or failing that any advice how to get blood stains out of Spanish tiled floors??

There shouldn't be any problem with wiring English lights into Spanish ceilings. As for marriage counselors, they are plastered all over the English newspapers sold in Spain. Re the blood, I always find that chlorine, diluted in cold water works wonders, but re-tiling is your best bet

Good luck

You can get UK bulbs, but at a cost.

The only problem you will have is that the English light fitting will need bayonet fitting bulbs. The bulbs in Spain are screw fitting
So bring plenty of spares
There you go. two answers for the price of one

Thanks Martha - you may have just saved a life! I'll bear in mind the chlorine tip though - haven't decided on the curtains yet!!

We do live in the UK but we are having a house built in Spain so we can split our time between here and there. Finished 2 months early and caught us on the hop a bit!

Make sure all knives, scissors and pointy/sharp objects are safely tucked away when the negotiations start
