Default Which Endesa tariff

Hello, which Endesa tariff are you on. I am leaning toward the night/day tariff (Tempo?)

Just after your experience and whether its worth it.

The dual tariff is so generous it's difficult not to save money. The off peak period is 14 hours from 10pm to 12 noon (+1hr in summer). You pay a higher charge for peak usage (about 20%) but the off peak usage is nearly half price. The standing charge is not significantly different.

If you schedule high energy events to fall in the off peak period you will save even more. For example, washing machines, dishwashers, pool pump, irrigation systems etc.

In some months I use 80% of the energy in the off peak period and it saves me 100's of Euros a year.

Thanks Fred. I assume that is now the Tempo tariff.

Yes, although they are now using a different way of calculating it, but the end result is much the same.

There is more info here

Second Fred.

Peak/off peak is the way to go, as long as you're willing to pay attention. And off-peak times are not at all inconvenient. Off-peak tariffs are a little over half.. Beware though, on these plans, peak-time tariffs are higher!
