"Many feel that they are unsightly and the sticky residue often leaves a mark on the glass"

Pretty pathetic as complaints go!

No mention of what those who don't have the MiDGT app, or some even a mobile phone.

As for the privacy aspect, phones are very easy to secure so if you lose yours and it's not secured then more fool you!

You're right, pathetic complaints. A bit of white spirit gets rid of any residual mess from the sticker.
I was going to mention about not having a mobile, but you beat me to it.
I have an old one, but rarely use it. Can live without one.

I would guess that information re ITV will be held on a database that police or other authorities that may need that information can access so I can't see MiDGT app being an issue if you don't have it. Insurance car owner details etc I'm sure will all be held on same database. I would guess it's similar to police PNC in UK .

I'm just wondering what happens if you're not the registered owner of the vehicle. My driving licence is on my MiDGT app but our car is registered in my partners name, so it will only appear on her app.

I would hope that traffico can use their apnr/database to check, without relying on the MiDGT app.

Some would say that in that circumstance you should have a permission to drive note from the missus!

That's why I mentioned earlier that authorities and police will have access to a full database they won't just rely on your MiDGT entries they are of course useful and negate the need for you to carry all documentation. However what is recorded on the official database is what they will work from.

Even if I'm a named driver on the insurance?
