Some interesting replies there and also some very valid points, certainly food for thought...The guy with the supply is 100% legal, he bought the supply from the electric company as they were not prepared to run pylons into the campo, he bought a transformer and supplies two complete tracks..legally (checked)Just the initial outlay..you still pay your bill to the electric company who apparently eventually take over the supply anyway...I will check out the websites and also try to speak with the leccy company to see if they plan to takeover the supply sooner rather than later, not sure if alternative energy will work for me with my plans at the moment....Hey thanks alot for your thoughts..

Douglas I have heard it said that the wind in Chiclana is not the right kind!!!!!!!
Buddha if he has paid for the installation of the transformer and the cabling and it is all legal and all he is asking is 5000 then I would take him up on the offer. It seems fair. he must have paid out a fair bit to have it installed and it seems unreasonable that you expect to benefit without paying a fair whack.
The road I live in in Chiclana has some houses without elex, they are laying in a new transformer, cabling and poles. The cost is about 4000 each, and it isn't a remote area and has a shot cable run. Just make sure that the guy's transformer has sufficient capacity to support all of you.
