Default Driving Alicante to Jerez

I've got to make this journey by car in the next few weeks.
Can anyone who has done it estimate how long it will take and recomend a route?
thanks

I have done it on my bike. It is circa 650 Km and you ought to do it in less than 7 hours.

I did the journey last summer going via Granada, Antequera, etc. If I remember correctly it took something like 6 hours.

Not coming to see the GP are you?
