Im making plans for Benidorm soon for 2 weeks to give it a shot and if successful extend my visit or even make it permanent. Ill be mainly looking for bar-work but will want something else to offer to increase my chances of employment. Will clubs want this SIA licence or something else or do they even ask for any out there?

like most things the SIA is AFAIK a "non-transferrable" certification
along with others such as the CSCS, where an employer may nod and say "nice" but it has no legal standing in Spain. The same applies to things like the FLT cert which a number of people in UK have.
generally it is things like university degrees which are treated as "transferrable"
may I suggest you have a walk thru yellow pages, see what companies are advertising in the field(s) you are interested in and contact them and see what opportunities there are.
however, although a company may be owned by English and employ English they will require a fairly high level of Spanish language
hope this helps

BE is a very large expat website, so if you have problems finding your way around we have concierges who will try to direct you. The moderators for the Spanish forums are Mitzyboy and Fred James, moderators are there to ensure that the site runs smoothly within the rules of BE. Problems and complaints should always be addressed to a moderador who will look into the matter and deal with it efficiently and fairly. Our members who post in the Spain Forums are friendly and helpful with a wealth of knowledge of the issues of living in Spain. At the top of the page you will find a quirkily named thread called Free Beer which is full of important and useful information. Hope you enjoy your time participating in the forums.
Please let me know if you need any further help.
