Default Dismountable pools

We've seen a dismountable pool, manufactured by GRES, which gives a 2 year guarantee, but a friend of ours said that they only last 2 years. Could anyone give us information, good or bad on dismountable pools?

Many thanks

Hello jjh,

I helped a very good friend of mine to erect one of these type of pools last year, he lives in Spain full time and bought the pool from a local big name supermarket that we have here. (Sax, Alicante area)

It has corragated aluminum sides with a plastic pool liner in the round frame, it also has a electric filter system included and cost around 700 euros.
He has not dismantled it since we built it last April, and kept it covered during the winter, he has not had any problems with it I check the filter each week and advise him on the care of the Ph levels.

He is very happy with it and has had no problems with it at all, but like in most walks of life you get the good stories and the bad, I suppose its what you pay for is what you get. I hope I have given you a little insight to the portable pools.

Good hunting.

Regards

JJH

Hello jjh,
Yes I am the one who gives the information out, living in Spain and holding a conversation with the Spanish people is difficult as I can only just hold my end up. So when I want information I look hard on the internet. Plus I write an information newsletter for the local expats here in Sax.

So my information has to be correct I check out all information before writing it into my newsletter, I also post it on the internet, the web site is only a month or so old so all the information is not on there yet. But you can find some very informative sites for ex pats if you look.

Here are a few

Telefoica in English

Driving and cars in Spain

British Embassy Advice to expats

Translator Spanish/English

Learn Spanish word of the day FREE

Spanish Ombudsman

Spain 4 Expats

Jobs in Spain

Social Security in Spain

Expat Exchange

Spain UK United

Costa Blanca Live

British Expat Live

These are just some of the sites which keep me informed, but there are many more out ther.

I do hope these keep you informed of the events and questions that you might have.

If I can be of any more service to you let me know.

David SR
