Default Part time work - Looking after villas for UK owners

I am curious to know if there is still a demand in the expat areas for someone to earn a part time income from looking after a few UK based home owners villas, or is their a monopoly on this type of work by the big boys who do it for a full time living. Thinking about the usual services, watering plants, preparing it for arrivals etc

If it is possible to get this type of work, what is the average income that can be commanded for such a service. We would not want to charge as much as one of the professionals, as we would prefer to offer a more personal service on a small scale in order to generate an income of approximately 150 Euros a week. How many properties does this equate to, per week?

Finally, can anyone tell me where is the best location to find the demand for such work.

Looking at this as an option if our Canadian PR falls through (hopefully not, but we must cover all possible scenarios)

Your comments would be gratefully appreciated

You will Require about six properties to guarantee your income, extras will then follow, midweek cleans, pre & post cleans, welcome packs, airport transfers & arranging car hire golf trips, still plenty demand on Costa Blanca or new major developments like Esuri,

Thanks. I was expecting it to be about 6 properties. As you say the extras will come later.

Much appreciated

Countryboy

Good idea reference the Costa Blanca News. As a resident living in Spain, do you think that this a good option to be considering? We only want to work part time and the extra 150 Euros a week should do us provided we are careful. More money would be better, but we want to get away from working day and night and would need some time to enjoy the country and relax a bit.

Thanks

Graham
