Dishwashers, Calientadores and other things.
Hi there all.
I'm on a house exchange holiday in Wales at the moment and am most impressed with the dishwasher (never had one before - I had to ask someone how to use it )
We would like to buy one for our Spanish house, but would like to ask a couple of questions first. We'd like to buy it in the UK and take it back with us (large people carrier so that's fine!).
1. Would a UK bought one work in Spain?
2. Our hot water is run by bottled gas. Would this create a problem?
Thanks for any and all advice.

And unless you have a water softener (here anyway), they only last a couple of years.

Thank you Tim, cold fill would be much easier.
I think our water is OK.

I would recommend only getting a basic model with minimum programmes, half of them you dont use anyway and the more programmes the more problems you seem to have
we bought a basic machine from Bayren 6 years ago and its still going strong

I agree with that completely! Find the cheapest and most basic that you can.

Thanks all for your replies.
I have realised through two weeks of using this dishwasher that there are really only two programmes I use so I was going to get a basic one.
Funnilly enough, as regards crockery/pans, we have a spare set of both that we just get out for Home Exchanges! So one more set of each is all that is required.
Will be visiting Currys as soon as w get back to the Midlands on Wednesday.
