Nobody should even be living in a house that has not been signed off as habitable.
I wonder if the insurance company knows ?

Top tip if buying a property, get a mortgage, banks do far more thorough background checks than estate agents, solicitors or notarys, well they would, they have good reason to.
Beggers the question, if they can why can't the others
Notarys are as much use as a chocolate teapot but then the job is inherited, what's that all about

OH dear. I bought my house outright after selling up in the UK. Do I need to be worried. I did buy it from a Brit. but that may not necessarily help. From time to time I do get electricity bills from endessa informing me of the usage from another property in the town. I have written and called into the office, and of course........................ they keep sending them! They do not take any cash from my bank account though, they have finally started taking for MY own usage after a fight of three years, and two disconnections!
