We used http://www.moveitremovals.com for both directions, and they are very good in my experience.

When I used them they were £300 per cubic meter and that included packing everything for me into their boxes. The cubic meter was very generous also, I'm quite sure I took up at least 2 but they only charged me one. Overall very happy with them

The van carriers tend to charge about €75 - €90 a cubic meter

There is a van company in free beer that does UK transport regularly

I think that is a much more realistic price ,£300 is way ott for 1 cubic metre

£300 per cubic meter is way off, we used Whites when we moved and 38 cubic meters at £75 inc VAT Per cubic meter and that including packing and unpacking.

I've just got a quote for some stuff coming (2cubic) over from Transport Direct in Andover and they have quoted €80 Per cubic meter + IVA, but thats to there depot in Albuferia (Algarve). As we are on the Algrave border I can collect.

I'm amazed, all the carriers I checked last year were more than £300, I went with the cheapest (or so I thought)
