In view of the fact that his ding-a-ling-ling doesn't seem to be working so well, maybe a guy proceeding in front of him with a red flag would an appropriate additional safety factor.

I just found out why Mitzyboy only posted a photo of the steer and bell, obviously he did not want us to see the rest of his new bike:

You have to seriously be careful cornering with stabilizers on Mitzy.

I believe it is a legal requirement to have a functioning bell. I would suggest you ask at the shop where you bought the bicycle.

I found it much easier just to scream loudly, and usually in German. No one hears that bell :D

Don't worry, I have every confidence that in no time at all Mitzy will be performing just like this,...

Yikes. I hope he's not cracked his other teeth. I had an accident in an indoor centre years ago. It's not the broken tooth that's caused me most grief (although the crown has had to be replaced more than once), but other damaged teeth have resulted in lots of problems later down the line.

I wonder how many points this cyclist got ????????

I wouldn't have thought that a bog standard cycle bell of normal audibility would exactly cost a fortune in a Chinese shop, possibly only the odd euro or two.

However if you're really concerned about getting yourself noticed, then what about a flashing orange beacon on top of your cycle helmet ? :D
