I fixed a couple of pine trees which were overhanging my place with those pesky caterpillars.
Went around when all was quiet and drilled a sizeable hole in each, sloping slightly down and well into the core or centre of the trunk.
Poured a little undiluted paraquet into the holes then plugged them with a bit of a branch so they could not be seen.
The said trees started to look a bit sick after a month or so and eventually dropped all their needles hence now no pesky caterpillars.
Only thing is I might look a bit sick myself if the bloody things come down on top of the house so fingers, legs and everything else crossed that all is ok when I get back there in a few weeks.

It will be pretty obvious whos done it when the trees die, I guess you did not even speak to the owner about the problem? next you will be complaining that the locals are causing you more problems, its no wonder they shot your blinds(mentioned in a previous post) while you were away,sounds about right for townies moving into the campo,maybe you should live in the town if you cant accept country life.

Never lived in a town or city in my life and have no wish to do so.
Country boy born and bred but unfortunately us rednecks just aint all perfect you know.
