Hello

Is anyone out at Esuri at the moment, and can you please tell what things are like with breakins!
I am told there are alot of properties that have been broken into at the minute (ours included).
just wondered what activity the police and authorities are showing over there.
Any new appreciated.

Hi - we received this email yesterday:

Dear Owners

It has been brought to our attention that a couple of properties in Lomas M2, M4 and M5 were broken into. I would like to remind all neighbours that you can call the ADA offices anytime fron Monday to Friday from 09.00 am to 17.00 pm for any assistance you may require. Additionally ADA is providing the services of a Technical Supervisor who is driving around all the communities we are handling and you can stop him or call him if and when required. He is easily recognisable as he driving a white van with the ADA logo on both doors.

We have always been here to help the owners the best way we can and in many instances beyond our remit. What we usually do when we are reported a break in or any other type of incidence, we immediately contact either the authorities in case of break in (which we have incidentally done immediately and ask them to patrol in the area) or any provider in case of electric, water, TV problems, etc. to ensure the problem is sorted out as soon as possible.

It is of paramount importance that any incident is immediately reported to the attention of the Administrator to allow him take appropriate action. If you do not adequately inform us, you give us no opportunity to do anything.

Below please find our contact details and never hesitate to call on us for assistance. We shall gladly help

Tel. + 34 959 470 085
Fax: + 34 959 471 576
Mobile: + 34 649 11 34 81

That will be Jean Luc who is the nicest most competent guy you will meet well worth talking to.

With regard to the break-in's there have been a few but not an epidemic and there does not appear to be a lot of damage done to gain entry and it seems only the TV is taken. We have seen a lot of all of the different Ayamonte police forces cruising slowly past at irregular intervals including 04.00. We have been stopped and checked at the Golf Club R/about twice with nothing to declare. We also saw a silver Opel chased down and stopped but I don't think it turned anything up.

Sam and Benny have a very neat solution for securing the patio double doors so that would improve security for some. Although entry seems to have been gained via the front kitchen window. Best screwed shut if you are away for several weeks at a time.

I shall raise the possibility setting up Neighbourhood Watch at the next CERA cmttee meeting. They do have an equivalent in Spain and the advice and links would be very useful to permanent residents and whole communities.

Re John's posting it does seem, as he says, that TV sets seem to be the only items taken. Maybe it would be an idea to leave your tele with a friend (who is here all the time) when you are not here as then they have no incentive. It could also be the case that realizing that the house owner will replace the stolen set they will make a note of the house number for future reference. Regards Bryony
