It is a long term investment if you are not going for a lifestyle choice. 3. The golf courses are great, Not that I am a golfer but many of my clients are and their reaction to the courses have been on a whole great. As is my way on this forum I will continue to post information that comes my way which may be of interest to you. Regards Michael H I, like most people, like Sam and are thankful for all the value she has added to the forum. Benny too is great to deal with. We hope to be socialising with them in the future - when we finally complete. If Sam felt the forum was going 'astray' and wanted to close it down, that's her right as the person who started it. I can understand her frustration too, as at times a certain 'element' get involved. Often they are people who arent owners who have fun going too far and 'slagging off' the place - just for the sake of it. I just ignore these posts, they are from infantile and socially lacking people. We all know who they are and frankly who cares for their opinions. They are insignificant. The majority of people are not like this and genuinely concerned / helpful people. We can learn a lot from the issues as well as the successes. Also if a prospective buyer learns that there will be e.g long hassles dealing with the attrocious Fadesa system; that they shouldn't complete without the licenses; there are problems with the pools etc etc - then I think its good to know up front, before forking out a lot of money. They will also see the stupid posts, and I hope are savvy enough to take a balanced view. There are also plenty of people delighted/excited with the purchase too. As there are genuine buyers who have concerns with their investment and the future of the site. The last thing I would want is to have some sort of 'positive-only' slant to the forum. If that means putting up with the tos*ers that post - easy - just ignore their prattle. I've learned a LOT from the forum and a lot of that has also been from some of the more 'negative/concerned' posts. I'll do my own censorship, thanks! They have writen back saying that all I need to sell on in the future is the deeds. Is that right or should I receive copies of the licences? |

I don`t think that is quiet right, most are from experienced Spanish life people trying to help and stop you getting into the same problems as they may of had. Sorry, but this is not a Forum it is just one thread out of the hundreds in the Spain and Siesta Time forums covering the whole of Spain. I hope my mis-use of proper terminology doesn't bother you too much - I'm OK with it. Ive checked the other 'threads' before,(just yesterday in fact) very useful at times, but on the other hand, there's nearly two hundred pages of them according to the page numbering at the bottom. Some are outdated and I tend to focus on this one - so I admit I am not so 'global' in my use of the site - but I don't have unlimited time either. For me, this thread works for a 'catch-all'. I'm personally not a purist about nomenclature, web-surfing etc. I dont want any censorship. Nor do I want to feel obligated in how I surf the site. But of course if people want to change it - go ahead. Sam did that when she shut down the previous thread. This thread / or Forum or whatever has been VERY informative and useful. Thankfully there are a few that have ventured to the darkside now they know it is there and very welcome they are too. If people have a look round and as for an example if they are unsure of signing for their property without electric and they read of the problems in other parts of Spain it will help make their decision maybe. It is a big learning curve buying a property and living in Spain and every little helps. If anyone want`s to find information about it, if they look in the free beer thread or do a "search this forum", then I am sure most things have been covered before and if not and they post their own thread on the Spain forum they will soon get some advice on it. |
