Hello, I'm hoping someone can help. I have been living in Barcelona for a while now. Me and my husband are thinking about trying for a baby. I currently have the IUD coil in. Can I have this removed at my local dr or will I have to pay to see a gynaecologist?

First Q is, do you have a valid Spanish social security card? If so then sure, this should be arranged through your GP

If you don´t then it will have to be done privately. And all birth and child related health, pregnancy, birth etc would have to be done privately, so you will need to have deep pockets!

Thank you for your reply. Yes I do have a social security number and am registered with a local Dr. I just wasn't sure if they would do this or if I needed to go to a clinic. Thanks for your help.
