IBIZA
Hi
I am new to this site, so please be gentle. My wife and I have holidays in Ibiza over the past 5 years and loved it. The question has come up in conversation about moving to Ibiza, although it sounds to me, a dream location to live, I bet this idea is not new. There must be thousands of people with the same idea.
My background and experience is in Security, also served 14 years in British Army, My wife is a hairdresser, we also have a two year old boy which was a surprise to us as I am 53 years old, and my wife is 46, but it was a lovely and special surprise.
What I would like to ask, please, is "is there any work in the security field in Ibiza" As I mentioned, this is a dream at the moment, and we are in the thinking process.... who knows, in a few years we maybe there thanks for listening...jeff/lisa/Riley

Re: IBIZA
Ibiza hosts many of VIP during the party season every year DJ's, celebrities even members of different royal families have ventured to the island to party but "season" being the most important word here so you will want to consider this.
I do know there are companies operating in Ibiza taking care of the security needs of these sort of people every year so maybe it's worth approaching them with your experiance and background.
There's also the security concerning the major nightclubs and bars every summer if that would be of any interest to you but that again is seasonal.
I was speaking to a punjabi taxi driver last week in Ibiza he is a pharmacist by trade and moved to Ibiza 7 years ago, he was working in a pharmacy in San Antonio for two years when one of his customers told him to get into taxiing, he earns all his money through the party season to cover him through the winter and still does the odd cover shift through winter in a pharmacy for people who have worked all summer and want a break.
Most locals in Ibiza work this way, they work none stop through the party season (May - oct) and then it's relax time.
Do you have anything else what you could turn your hand to if the security thing didn't work out ?
The Ibiza party season shuts down this week until the end of next May as the closing parties are happening as we speak so I don't know if it would be worth approaching any companies now as they won't be recruiting. It's probably best to wait now.
All best anyway and hope it works out for you both.
