Default Considering moving to Gran Canaria

Hi members

I'm retired from a military background War Veteran, I'm considering relocating to Gran Canaria, which has been a favorite destination for a few years due to the climate, I suffer with circulation problems and the cold, which is my worse enemy, anyway if any member could give me a heads up on, cost of living etc, also is my war pension safe? I know it's not taxed in the UK? What would I require each month in terms of finances, bearing in mind I'm going for the Sunshine and warmth and not so much the night life.

Thank you for any advice.
